Sukhoi Civil Aircraft says Interjet has no plans to return jets

MOSCOW, Mar 28 (PRIME) -- Mexico’s Interjet never refused to buy Russia’s Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100), Sukhoi Civil Aircraft said in a statement late on Wednesday a report by FlightGlobal, which said that Interjet had suspended flights of 15 SSJ100s and plans to return them to the company.

The aircraft producer said, “There are no plans to return the aircraft. Interjet plans further use of the SSJ100 supplied earlier.”

Sukhoi Civil Aircraft and engine maker PowerJet have offered Interjet several solutions to make use of SSJ100 more convenient, and the company is considering them.
